The Israeli Meta-Materials and Meta-Surfaces consortium has been organized and financed by the MAGNET Program of the Israel Innovation Authority. The consortium consists of 9 industrial companies (Elbit systems, SCD, Ceragon, Spectralics, Satixfy, Opsys, PCB, Galel (Memic), FVMAT) and 11 research groups from 7 different academic institutes (Technion , Bar-Ilan University, Ben-Gurion University, Ariel University, TAU University, Weizmann Institute of Science, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem).  
 

The main goal of the consortium is to develop novel, state of the art technologies for the design, development and fabrication of Meta-Materials and Meta-Surfaces, technologies which will be available for the Israeli industry and will bridge the current existing gap in this arena.

The consortium will develop technologies which will be applicable mainly in the fields of Communication and Imaging, and will cover a wide spectrum of capabilities.

The project started in January 2023 and is planned for 3 years in 2 phases of 18 months.
